About Jeff Gaunt
Jeff Gaunt advises leaders facing high-stakes communication challenges — including crises, investigations, leadership transitions, and intense public scrutiny. He specializes in crisis communications, reputation strategy, executive messaging, and media training.
Jeff has led major incident responses, trained thousands of leaders, and supported Fortune 500 companies, health systems, governments, financial institutions, and school districts during their most consequential moments.
Before founding Gaunt Strategies, Jeff led the Crisis & Reputation practice at a national public relations firm. He also served as a policy analyst and communications advisor in the Illinois Senate and worked with the Thai government on public sector communications.
Jeff is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. He lives in Michigan with his wife and three children.
